Xmas Pic 1 WIP

This seems to be turning into a bit of a WIP after the shadow study too [link]
So, this is the progress on the character for the first xmas special. Finished the colouring today (well, other than the odd little bit that has to be done right at the end). I'm really pleased with how it's come out. My first time using copic markers, and wow they are fantastic, especially the air-brush attachment thingy. So easy to use!
I'm very pleased with how the coat looks, and the fur trim worked really nicely using cotton wool as a shield to give a nice controlled gradation.
The hair was really difficult, but I think it came out ok in the end...

And I'm so pleased with the finish it has - it just goes to show what the proper equipment can do for you. I honestly thought I'd be miles from a moderately professional looking manga finish, but it's turned out better than I'd dared hope!

So now it's onto the background. Hope I don't go and ruin it!
